- Lead and coordinate licensing activities directed to China, with the goal to enhance Midas Group’s track record of licensing deals in the territory, i.e.
- Identify and search for niche and complex products needed in the local market and provide access to suitable solutions, including selection of appropriate local partners, regulatory/commercialization strategy as well as additional services as required on a case-by-case basis.
- Promote the Dossiers and products under mandate of the Midas Group in the local market, focusing on Midas own and co-development projects, including approach and track of potential customers, communication with local regulatory authorities where necessary and elaboration of a commercialization strategy for these products.
- Screen “IN-China For-China" opportunities, identifying European and/or US products registered but not successfully marketed in China and offering to such overseas companies access to stronger local marketing partners (asset aquisition/ MA transfer from Western MAH to local players).
- Drive licensing activities from China to international markets, i.e.
- Evaluate local products of interest for the US and European markets and offering support to Chinese developers of those products to facilitate access to international markets, e.g. through regulatory services, Marketing Authorization Holderships, supply chain management, EU Import release and licensing activities.
- Initiate cooperations with Chinese partners for Small & Large Molecules to be marketed by customers/partners of the Midas-organization in various territories worldwide, with focus on Europe and the US.
- Convince Chinese partners to enter the European markets by supporting them to get their products approved and by using the pharmaceutical infrastructure of Midas.
- Convince and support Chinese partners to enter the European markets by transferring their products and their know-how to European manufacturing partners.
- Ensure regular alignment with the Headquarters (Board/dedicated team in charge to support MPC) to identify, execute, fine-tune and/or revise agreed strategies for the local market and consolidate understanding of key responsibilities as well as of Midas Group’s structure, company policy, cooperation models, mission and goals.
- Proactively develop a network of contacts to attract new clients and research new market opportunities. Foster and establish long-term partnerships with Chinese companies.
- Promote our full-range of services and solutions to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, emphasizing the potential to support their drug development, registration, licensing, and supply chain management. Collaborate with the project teams to provide tailored services based on the requirements of each customer.
- Keep close contact with inside and outside stakeholders, organize and facilitate meetings, demos, and conference calls to ensure a smooth communication and timely follow-up of each project.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape. Keep abreast of the latest evolutions, challenges, and opportunities within the pharmaceutical sectors.
- Represent Midas at industry events, conferences, and meetings to present our services and products, enhancing our visibility and credibility in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Promote Midas as the logic and long-term partner in the US and Europe knowing about the interests of Chinese partners in expanding their presence in international markets

Professional background:
- University education with scientific focus (preferably Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Chemistry or Business Development)
- PhD is preferred but not a must
Professional background:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the regulated industry, preferably in the pharma- /biotech industry, with an understanding of pharmaceutical and biotechnological manufacturing processes
- Deep knowledge and understanding of EU & cGMP and EU/US FDA regulatory requirements
- Willingness to travel (approx. 25 % of the working time)
- Being familiar with the pharmaceutical and biotech scene in China, well connected in the biologics/pharma business landscape in China and having access to a broad professional network
- Commercial understanding resp. Business Development Capabilities and good negotiation skills
- Mandatory Chinese native speaker with excellent English language skills
